InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA
About Us: We believe that God has called us to reach every corner of every campus. Change the university, change the world. For over 75 years InterVarsity has had a vital presence on hundreds of college campuses, courageously proclaiming Jesus as Lord and Savior, engaging in discipleship around Scripture, and loving people of every ethnicity and culture.
This is a mission for college level students and not a sports-related mission:
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA dates our official beginning to our incorporation, which took place on November 14, 1941. But the roots of our movement are with students at the University of Cambridge, England in 1877. There, a group of Christian students began to meet together, in spite of the disapproval of some University officials, to pray, to study the Bible and to witness to fellow students. Soon, similar groups sprang up on other campuses. Eventually, they formed the British Inter-Varsity. (Hence our name, inter – meaning between, varsity – the British term for college level students.)

Mission: To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
We pursue our vision and mission through the strategy of to and through the coach. We seek ministry first to coaches’ hearts, marriages and families. Then, when ready, we minister through coaches to their fellow coaches, teams and athlete leaders.
Billy Graham said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.” With the influence of a coach, FCA recognizes the most strategic way to reach more athletes is to first reach the coach.
