Please mark your calendars for Commitment Sunday, as we faithfully commit our tithes to God through NPC.

Operation Christmas Child:  Sunday, November 17th

Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has collected more than 168 million shoeboxes packed with toys and other fun items by people like you, and delivered them to boys and girls in need around the world in partnership with local churches. How to pack a shoebox: Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately. Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14. Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. (No toothpaste or candy, please. These items are no longer allowed in shoeboxes due to customs regulations). Most importantly, pray for the child who will  receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo. Donate $9 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift. Bring your shoebox to the dedication Sunday on November 17th. www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child

Thanksgiving Potlock: Sunday, November, 17th at 11:00 AM

Bring a dish to share with everyone.  Potluck will start following the worship service. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. All are welcome.  Contact Laura Wilson with any questions.

Thanksgiving Eve Service: Wednesday, November 27th at 7:30 PM

Hanging of the Greens: Saturday, November 30th at 9:00 AM

MITTEN TREE 2019: Collected through December 15th

Once again this Christmas season, NPC will be working with Bethanna Christian Services to provided “Mittens & More” for the children in their foster care. Items such as new mittens, gloves, socks and hats can be brought to the narthex and hung on the Christmas Tree beginning December 1st. The deadline for bringing things in is December 15th.  They have 50-60 children in foster care this year (infants and up to age 16), so a variety of sizes is needed. Let’s be as generous as we have been in the past.
